| Responsibilities |
- Principle activities include:
1. Maintain a library and working knowledge of directives, standards, regulations, and industry guidelines that are applicable our products and markets.
2. Design, plan, and conduct internal testing to verify product compliance.
3. Implement, maintain, and improve the company’s regulatory compliance testing methods and equipment.
4. Establish and maintain positive relations with various certifying agencies and testing laboratories.
5. Manage the entire process of submitting products to outside agencies and working with those resources to ensure successful product listing and labeling. This includes up front preparation of product samples and documentation, taking remedial action to correct findings, and arranging for initial product inspection and subsequent product labeling.
6. Advise our various product design groups of design options and impact of design decisions related to product compliance. Develop a set of design rules and compliance verification methods that can be incorporated into design guidelines for each of our product lines.
7. Research and stay abreast of upcoming changes to regulations, directives, standards, etc. that may affect product design or marketing strategy. Advise management and product design teams of corrective action required for continued product compliance.
8. Maintain all test reports and agency approval documentation. Provide supporting evidence of compliance upon request.

| Skills/Qualifications |
- Minimum requirements include a Bachelor degree in electrical engineering and 3 – 5 years experience in regulatory compliance and product safety. Successful candidate must have knowledge of and training on safety, EMC, and environmental standards and regulations such as IEC, UL, ROHS, REACH and must be familiar with steps necessary to obtain a CE Declaration of Conformity and appropriate NRTL safety marks. Should also have experience in product testing as related to product regulatory compliance and general product reliability.
