Howard Industries Supports Salvation Army Holiday Programs for Local Families
Laurel, MS – Each Christmas season, the Salvation Army prepares meal boxes for local families in need to ensure they can enjoy a traditional holiday dinner. Howard Industries has once again partnered with the Salvation Army and the Grocery Depot of Laurel to help make this initiative possible.
Through generous cash donations from Howard Industries employees and support from Grocery Depot, 500 boxes each of macaroni and cheese, stuffing and dinner rolls were purchased for distribution. Because of Grocery Depot’s contribution, a portion of the funds raised by Howard Industries employees was also donated directly to the Salvation Army to further assist families throughout the holiday season.
In addition to supporting the meal box program, Howard Industries employees purchased Christmas gifts for 190 children through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which ensures every child has a gift to unwrap on Christmas morning.
“Each year, our team shows extraordinary compassion for the families in our community,” said Michael Howard, CEO of Howard Industries. “Their generosity in 2025 reflects our company’s ongoing commitment to service. We are honored to support the Salvation Army’s efforts to bring hope and joy to children and families during the Christmas season.”
