Job Description

Howard Interactive’s self-service kiosks offer round-the-clock conveniences (24/7) with a full spectrum of ordering applications and automation platforms that increase efficiency and profitability. From bill pay options and secure self-service sales in unattended environments to information updates, wayfinding, scheduling and check-in processes; printing, ticketing, and much more, kiosks have taken center stage. As an electrical engineer with Howard Interactive, you can be part of the design process for one of the up-and-coming leaders in the kiosk industry. This electrical engineer position involving hardware research, design and system development for interactive kiosks, electric vehicle charging systems, and locker delivery systems. Candidates should have practical engineering knowledge, as well as a proven track record for timely project delivery. The ability to work effectively with other departments, particularly sales, manufacturing, and purchasing is also important in this position. Beyond the basic engineering knowledge and skills required for this position, creativity and the ability to develop new product concepts are also important.

Responsibilities

  • This position will include a wide variety of electrical distribution systems design, development and certifications.
    This person will also play a major role in prototype development and provide manufacturing input for all Howard Interactive products and systems.

Skills/Qualifications

  • • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
    • 2 years’ experience in electrical design is preferred
    • Power systems concentration in school or power systems design experience
    • Knowledge or experience with AC/DC power conversion and distribution
    • Knowledge or experience with motors, motor drives, servo systems and PLC’s
    • Control systems concentration in school or experience with control systems
    • Knowledge or experience of battery technologies and charging methods
    • Electrical component performance validation and stress testing
    • Design experience using SolidWorks
    • CSWP or CSWE Certification preferred
    • ISO, UL and FDA experience preferred
