Job Description

The entry level Bids Specialist position will analyze bid request documents and requirements from a variety of sources including K12, higher education, state, and local entities on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Thoroughly review product specifications, pricing requests, payment terms, tax exempt status of soliciting entity, general and special terms and conditions of each bid request. Extract pertinent information, not limited to previously listed, to convey to the Bids Team and Sales Teams based on a formatted checklist. Each proposal must be scanned into the company’s database management software along with proper record keeping and documentation of bids pulled and worked each day.

Skills/Qualifications

  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to type 45 wpm
    • Good communication skills, written and verbal
    • Organizational skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Attention to detail
    • Self-motivated

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma or GED
    • At least 1 year of work experience in an office setting
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision


    Work Schedule:
    Monday-Friday 8am -5pm
